Zoos are widely adored, but at what cost to the animals within them? This project examines the lives of animals placed on public display in different zoos around the world. Through intimate and unfiltered imagery, I wanted to capture the emotional weight of confinement and the subtle traces of displacement etched into their daily existence. The work draws attention to the stark contrast between the environments these animals are born to inhabit and the artificial spaces they are confined to — questioning the ethics of preservation when it comes at the expense of freedom.
